Why has the government introduced the Feed-in Tariffs?
The Government has had to make some drastic changes in order to meet their targets for reducing our carbon footprint here in Britain. If they encourage people to install their own renewable energy systems such as Solar Panels and Wind Turbines it will help them meet their targets for reducing our carbon footprint.
Is the Feed in Tariff only for home owners?
The Feed in Tariff is available for installations on any building, not just houses, as long as you are the owner of that building, or have the owner’s written permission.
How do The NRG People get paid?
Government legislation guarantees a fixed, premium rate for the feed in tariff for each unit that is generated. The system is administered by the official regulator Ofgem and the Feed-in Tariffs are paid by the customers electricity suppliers. The electricity suppliers are obliged by the Government to buy the renewable electricity.
Can DIY solar installation get the Feed in Tariff?
No. Only installations completed and certified with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) by MCS certified companies such as ours are eligible for FIT payments.
What do I have to pay?
Nothing at all, the entire process of Surveying, Installation and the Maintenance is completely FREE.
What is MCS?
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an independent scheme that certifies microgeneration installers in accordance with their recommended standards. In order to qualify for the Feed-in Tariff, the renewable energy equipment must be certified by MCS and the installer must be accredited under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
